SUIT UP

From brooding bad boy in Gilmore Girls to perplexed Peter Petrelli in
Heroes, MILO VENTIMIGLIA has had an evolving career in front of and
behind the camera, that could be seen as paralleling his equally evolving
fashion sense. "It went from edgier to more refined, from more punk to
rough gentleman," he says.

The 33-year-old actor may just have found the perfect recipe to looking
stylish on and off the red carpet. "Wearing a finely tailored suit really did
give me confidence as much as a pair of broken-in jeans and a classic white
T-shirt put me at ease," he says. After being in the Hollywood limelight and
the target of paparazzi, Ventimiglia knows a thing or two about fashion
dos and don'ts, and imparts some sartorial wisdom: "Classic shapes with a
simple palette will never steer you wrong. Couple that with a nice timepiece,
and you'll feel good."

With 15 years of acting already under his belt, Ventimiglia plans to continue
for many more years – or he may change course and design drafting tables
and furniture. Whichever path he chooses, one thing we know for certain is
that his commitment to the classic, simple style is unequivocal. "I love the
photos of my grandparents' generation and the timelessness created by
what they were wearing – I try to do the same," he says. True to his word,
