JM WESTON, PARIS

Luxury shoemaker JM Weston celebrated its 120th Anniversary with an event at its headquarters on the prestigious Avenue d’Iéna in Paris. Guests were greeted by a contingent from the French Republican Guard, which acted as a guard of honour for the evening and for which JM Weston has historically supplied boots.

The milestone was marked by the publication of a book called JM Weston, written by Prix Goncourt-winning French author Didier van Cauwelaert. The event venue was decorated to represent selected chapters from the book, such as Club des Cloches [Bell Club] and Chant des Artisans [Song of the Artisans], which portray life in the JM Weston factory. Guests were also treated to on-the-spot portraits by the book’s illustrator, Julien Roux.
