Romero Britto exhibition, 1881 Heritage; September 16

BRA ZILIAN ARTIST Romero Britto, highly acclaimed in South America, the United States and Asia, has made a name for himself by combining elements of cubism, graffiti and pop art in his colourful works.

On September 15, in collaboration with Opera Gallery and 1881 Heritage, Britto had his first Hong Kong exhibition, which included sculptures, paintings, limited-edition works, prints and lithographs.

The event, held at the 1881 Heritage, was attended by Shirley Yablonsky, the director of Opera Gallery, and other exhibition sponsors, as well as Gilbert Yeung, May Chow and other VIP guests.

The exhibition also brought support to the Springboard Project, which provides services for children and young adults with a variety of middle to moderate learning disabilities, including Down's syndrome and autism. Britto hosted a children's workshop during the day of the event, encouraging children to engage in the arts and expand their knowledge and interest. The exhibition runs until October 7.
