Tazmania Ballroom hosted a Celebrities Ping Pong event on December 27, sponsored by champagne house Veuve Clicquot. To match the maison’s distinctive label, the venue was swathed in orange, and each participant received a limited-edition Veuve Cliquot ping pong box set. Jimmy Wong and model Alice B served as the evening’s MCs, while British soul and R&B artist Lemar Obika provided live entertainment. Aside from Obika, a highlight of the evening came with the special celebrity death match organised by Gordon Lam, who invited each player to select one of his martial-arts weapons to use as a bat. Among the more than 50 celebrities and socialites who took part were Gilbert Yeung, Reyna Harilela, Anthony and Jocelyn Sandstrom, and Vincent Pagès.
